Digital Preservation & Archiving

Digital Preservation and Archiving

IKAD-ECCR recognises that long-term preservation is a core responsibility of scholarly publishing. The journal is developing a layered preservation strategy for published articles, metadata, journal configuration, and associated publishing records.

Operational preservation

The publisher maintains the journal on its own OJS infrastructure and uses database and file-level backup procedures as part of platform administration and recovery planning.

Persistent scholarly identifiers

The journal intends to register DOI identifiers for eligible published articles after the publisher's Crossref DOI prefix and deposit workflow have been formally activated. DOI status will not be represented as active before that configuration is complete.

External preservation networks

IKAD-ECCR intends to participate in an appropriate recognised preservation service, such as the PKP Preservation Network or another suitable long-term archiving infrastructure, subject to technical and eligibility requirements.

The journal will not claim participation in LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, PKP PN, or another preservation network until participation has actually been enabled and verified.

Metadata continuity

Bibliographic metadata, article files, issue information, and publication records will be maintained in structured form within OJS and prepared for exchange with appropriate indexing, registration, and preservation services.

Platform migration

If the journal changes hosting, publishing platform, or technical provider, preservation of published content, identifiers, metadata, and stable access will be treated as a priority requirement of the migration.

Transparency

This page will be updated when external long-term preservation services are activated so that readers, authors, libraries, and indexers can verify the journal's current preservation arrangements.
