Complaints & Appeals

Complaints and Appeals

IKAD-ECCR provides a process for raising substantive concerns about editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, journal procedures, or the conduct of persons acting on behalf of the journal.

Appeals against editorial decisions

An author may appeal an editorial decision when there is a reasoned basis to believe that a material factual, procedural, ethical, or interpretive error affected the decision.

An appeal should identify the manuscript, specify the decision being challenged, and address the substantive basis for reconsideration. Appeals should not consist solely of disagreement with reviewer judgement.

Independent handling

Where practicable, an appeal should be assessed by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision. The journal may obtain additional expert advice when necessary.

Complaints

Complaints may concern peer-review conduct, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, discrimination, editorial behaviour, publication ethics, authorship, post-publication action, or other material journal processes.

How to contact the journal

Complaints and appeals should be submitted to the IKAD-ECCR Editorial Office at ikadpaudiofficial@gmail.com with sufficient documentation to allow a fair assessment.

Confidentiality and fairness

Complaints will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. Individuals who are the subject of a complaint should be given an appropriate opportunity to respond when fairness requires it.

No retaliation

Good-faith complaints, appeals, or research-integrity concerns must not result in retaliation against authors, reviewers, editors, readers, or whistleblowers.

Final editorial determination

Following review of the available information, the journal will communicate the outcome and any corrective action considered appropriate. Repeated appeals that provide no materially new information may be declined.
